     English Medium Government Schools

The Punjab School Education Department has notified the conversion of all its schools from the Urdu medium to English medium. The Government of Pakistan had approved in the curriculum-2006 that mathematics, science and social studies subjects would be taught in English. In the first phase, some primary, middle and high schools have been selected where the above mentioned three subjects would be taught in English.

Inter Part II  Students in Lahore protested for rechecking



Lahore, A large number of Intermediate Part 2 students protested against the delay in rechecking of their papers on Tuesday. The students entered the Board office of Intermediate and Secondary Education Lahore by breaking main gate and staged a protest there. They demanded the authorities for immediately issuance of their results after rechecking of papers.


*  6.8 million children don’t attend   school in Pakistan.                            

Only 36% of girls aged 10 and over from rural areas have received an   education.                           

Currently over 15,000 students,       primarily girls, are enrolled in 149   DIL-supported primary and               secondary schools across the           country.
